A Bit of Background
As the verse in James suggests, we strive to remain pure to the heart of God's preferences but in a peaceful and reasonable atmosphere full of mercy and good fruits. Make no mistake, we are a Fundamental Baptist Church, but as Jacob suggested in Genesis 33: 14, leading on softly is the best way to help others endure. As David said in Psalm 18:35...Thy gentleness hath made me great. If it works for the LORD, it works for us!

Building and changing lives through preaching and teaching
A wise man once said that "Teaching is the transfer of knowledge and not the display of it...preaching is teaching with a tear in the eye."
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised," Luke 4:18
"And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;" 2 Timothy 2:24-25
FAMILY
Reinforcing families
Every generation needs the influence of the other. Age brings stability and wisdom. Husbands and wives build sturdy families. Youth brings vitality and excitement. When church and Bible principles are added to the mix, it is an uncommon blessing to all!
"With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding. With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding." Job 12:12-13
"...behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife." Genesis 26:8b
"And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 3:15
FRIENDS
Becoming friends for a lifetime
Where would we be without real friends? Church should be a place where friendships are made and kept. Sometimes those friendships are thicker than kinships!
"A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." Proverbs 17:17
"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13
